3PL Fulfilment Services

Published: 27th July 2026

Storeship is a third party logistics (3PL) provider running ecommerce fulfilment from our own storage and warehousing in Nottingham, UK and Alicante, Spain. We handle order processing, picking, packing, and shipping, on a pay-as-you-go model with no minimum order or stock commitments.

New to the term? Our guide on what 3PL means and how to choose a partner covers the full picture, including how 3PL compares to fulfilment, 4PL, and freight forwarding.

Our 3PL warehouse network

As a 3PL logistics company running third party logistics UK and EU operations since 2009, we run fulfilment from our own facilities in Nottingham and Alicante rather than a single UK-only site.

We currently process stock for over 700 UK and international sellers, having handled more than 944,000 orders across 248 countries served.

Our 3PL fulfilment covers the full order lifecycle:

Should you outsource to a 3PL?

If packing orders is eating into time you'd rather spend on sourcing, marketing, or customer growth, or if storage space has stopped being enough, it's worth working out what outsourced fulfilment would actually cost against doing it yourself. Our guide includes a five-question checklist if you're deciding whether to outsource order fulfilment in more depth.

EU 3PL fulfilment from our Spain warehouse

Plenty of UK 3PL providers operate from UK sites only, which means every EU order crosses the border individually, and since 1 July 2026 that includes a flat customs duty per item on parcels under €150, on top of existing import VAT. Fulfilling from our Alicante, Spain warehouse avoids this for your EU orders entirely, since stock is imported into the EU in bulk rather than parcel by parcel.

Transparent 3PL pricing

We operate purely pay-as-you-go: zero account fees, zero management fees, zero software fees, and no minimum order or stock requirements. Rather than a time-limited money-back guarantee, we simply don't lock you into a contract in the first place, so there's nothing to need guaranteeing against. Every quote is itemised upfront, with no hidden charges added later. See the full fulfilment pricing breakdown, or request a quote below.

Frequently asked questions

Do you run your own warehouses, or do you subcontract to other 3PLs?

We operate from our own Nottingham and Alicante sites rather than a network of partner facilities.

How is Storeship different from other 3PL providers in the UK?

A few things stand out: our own UK and EU warehouse network, so you're not choosing between UK-only and EU-only providers; FHDDS accreditation, which not every provider states explicitly; and a pure pay-as-you-go pricing model with no minimum order or stock commitments and no fixed-term contract to get out of.

What accreditations or certifications do you hold?

We're registered under HMRC's Fulfilment House Due Diligence Scheme (FHDDS: XZFH00000100040) and have operated independently since 2009. Full company details are on our About Storeship page.

Is switching 3PL providers risky? What happens during onboarding?

Once you've received your quote, signing up takes around two minutes. From there, you ship your stock to us by courier, container, or direct from your manufacturer, and we check it into our system ready to dispatch as soon as your sales channels are connected. There's no long transition period holding up your first orders.

Will I lose orders or have downtime while transferring my stock to Storeship?

Your existing provider continues fulfilling orders until your stock is checked into our warehouse and your sales channels are connected to us, so there's no gap where orders go unfulfilled. We'd recommend planning the handover around a quieter sales period where possible, and your account manager can help plan the timing.

Is there a minimum contract length, or can I leave if it doesn't work out?

No. We operate purely pay-as-you-go, with no minimum order or stock commitments and no long-term contract. You only pay for the storage and orders you actually use.

Can I visit the warehouse or see where my stock is held?

Yes. As a Storeship customer, you can arrange a visit to our Nottingham or Alicante site through your account manager.

How do you handle order accuracy, and what happens if something goes wrong?

Every order goes through a three-stage check: scanning at pick, scanning at pack, and a check weigh, plus photographic evidence of the final packed parcel. This gives you a clear record if a customer disputes what they received.

Can you support both UK and EU customers from one account?

Yes. Stock can be split or held across our Nottingham and Alicante warehouses, with UK orders fulfilled domestically and EU orders shipped locally from Spain, avoiding per-parcel customs duty on EU deliveries.

How does your pricing compare to other 3PL providers, and are there any hidden fees?

We operate zero account fees, zero management fees, and zero software fees, which isn't universal in this space. Every quote is itemised upfront based on your order volume, product size, and shipping needs, with no surprise charges added later.

Can Storeship handle a sudden spike in orders, like Black Friday or a viral product moment?

Yes. Our pay-as-you-go model means you're not constrained by fixed warehouse or staffing capacity, and 98% of orders received by 3pm are still picked, packed, and shipped the same day during peak periods.

Do you work with businesses selling across multiple platforms, like Amazon, Shopify, and eBay, from one stock pool?

Yes. Our software integrates with over 100 marketplaces and platforms, fulfilling from a single shared stock pool so you don't need separate providers per sales channel.
